Who can be listed
- It has to act. An agent reads or writes on a user's behalf - an inbox, a calendar, a repository, an account. A chatbot that only answers questions belongs on the startup register as a product.
- It has to be live, or in public beta. A waiting list is recorded honestly but is not eligible.
- The vendor has to be a registered entity we can find in its jurisdiction's registry. The vendor does not need a startup profile, but it does need that.
- We have to be able to install it on a throwaway account - through a trial, a sandbox, or a test licence the vendor provides.
What counts as evidence
A check passes when a named reviewer looked at something and recorded where. A certification links to the issuer or a letter, never a logo. A customer claim needs a source on the customer's side. An accuracy figure is a claim: shown in your words, with evidence or marked Unverified in the same size of type.
We never rate quality, and we never say an agent is "safe". We say what we checked, how, and when - and what we could not.
The behaviour honesty rule
The permissions your documentation declares must be the permissions your agent requests. We compare the two scope by scope when we install it. A scope requested but not declared is shown in red on the profile, and an agent with one cannot be listed until the documentation or the agent changes.
By approving your profile you warrant that this is true, and you agree to tell us about any change to the scopes your agent requests before the release that makes it. While we re-check, the old profile stays up marked "update in review".
Listing terms
- Listing is free, and stays free. iBrothers takes no fee, no commission and no payment for placement from anyone, and the index has no "featured" order to sell.
- iBrothers does not host, run, resell or proxy any agent. The profile links to your own site.
- Whoever approves the profile warrants it is accurate and that they have the right to say it, including the right to use the product's name and logo on it.
- We may correct a profile when a report shows it is wrong, and we tell you when we do.
- These terms are version 2026-09-24. Every approval records which version it was given against.
Re-checks
Agents change faster than companies. Every 6 months we ask you to confirm the profile and re-run the observed checks on a fresh throwaway account. A profile not re-checked in time is marked as overdue on the page rather than quietly left up. A major version you tell us about is re-checked straight away.
Reports and security concerns
Anyone can report a profile as wrong, out of date, or the agent as behaving differently from it. Security concerns go to a separate queue we look at within 5 working days: we tell the vendor first, publish nothing until it is resolved or thirty days pass, and never publish exploit detail.
Removal
A removed profile's address stays up and says why, in one of these words:
- Removed at the vendor's request.
- Removed: claims could not be verified after notice.
- Removed: the agent requested permissions it does not declare.
- Removed: the product is no longer available.
- Removed following a legal request.
- Not listed: the agent did not meet the register's eligibility rules.
