How it works.

The method

Every claim, checked through one method.

Proven

Linked to a public source we opened ourselves.

Claimed

The startup's own words, labelled as theirs.

Unverified

We looked and could not confirm it. Said out loud.

How the register works

We run the same ten checks on every startup, publish the method for each one, and mark anything we could not verify as unverified. We are not paid by anyone for any of it.

For startups

Getting listed, step by step.

Create your account
  1. Create an account

A few details and a confirmed work email. Free, now and later.

    • Your name and work email
    • Confirm it from the link we send
    • No card, no fee, ever
  2. Write your profile

The product, the founders, the AI, and what you claim - with a public source for each claim where you have one. Save it as a draft as often as you like.

    • Product, founders and the AI
    • A public source for each claim
    • Drafts are private
  3. We run the ten checks

Submitting it is your word that it is true. A reviewer runs the same ten checks we run on everyone, and anything we cannot verify says Unverified.

    • The same method for everyone
    • Ten working days
    • Unverified, never hidden
  4. It goes live

Approved buyers can send you one introduction from your profile. It arrives in your own inbox; you reply directly, and can pause enquiries at any time.

    • Introductions to your inbox
    • You reply directly
    • Pause enquiries any time

Editing a live profile never changes the public page on its own: the edit waits for review, and the version already checked stays up meanwhile.

For buyers

Finding a startup, on the evidence.

  1. Read anything, no account needed

Browse, search and filter every profile. What is proven and what is claimed is the whole pitch.

  2. Create an account and shortlist

Confirm your work email and save startups to a private shortlist.

  3. Write your buyer profile

Who you are and what you are looking for. Once our team has read it, it is listed in the buyers directory.

  4. Send one introduction

From any startup's profile. We forward it once and step out; the conversation is yours.

Introductions

One introduction, then we step out.

iBrothers Group introduces you. It is not a party to anything that follows, takes no commission, holds no money, and has not verified the product - only the facts marked Verified on the profile.

What we do

  • Confirm the buyer's email, and read their profile before it can send anything.
  • Forward the message once, exactly as written, with Reply-To set to the buyer.
  • Keep that it happened and where it stands: sent, replied, declined or unanswered.
  • Limit it: five a day per buyer, and one to the same startup a month.
  • Delete the message 30 days after it is answered, or 90 if it never is.

What we never do

  • Read the conversation, join it, or get copied in.
  • Quote, negotiate, invoice, hold money or take a commission.
  • Score a startup, publish reply rates, or rank anyone for answering fast.
  • Share a buyer's details with anyone - including the group's own ventures.

The ten checks

Ten checks, one method each.

Each one is performed exactly as described, so two reviewers reach the same answer and a startup can prepare for it.

  1. 1. Legal entity exists

Look the company up in the registry for its stated jurisdiction (MCA, Companies House, the relevant state Secretary of State, and so on). The registered name must match the name on the profile, or the profile must say why it differs.

Verified reads: Registered company: :name, :jurisdiction

  2. 2. Domain & website

Check WHOIS for the registration date, load the site over HTTPS, and confirm the footer or terms name the same entity as the registry lookup.

Verified reads: Domain registered :year; site live

  3. 3. Founders on record

For each named founder, open the link given and confirm the person exists and states this role at this company. Names must match. No photograph is asked for.

    Verified reads: Founders confirmed: :count

  4. 4. Product is live

Reach a sign-up, a trial or a demo without talking to sales. A waiting list is not a live product and is recorded as such rather than failed.

    Verified reads: :state

  5. 5. Privacy policy & terms

Both documents must be present, carry a date, and name the legal entity.

Verified reads: Policies present (dated :date)

  6. 6. Security page / practices

A security page or trust centre must exist. Where a certification is claimed, the link must go to the issuer or to a letter, not to a logo.

    Verified reads: :summary

  7. 7. AI provenance stated

The profile must state which models are used, where the training data comes from, and what the known limitations are. We check that the questions are answered, not that the answers are true - the reader line says so.

Verified reads: Provenance stated by the startup (content not verified)

  8. 8. Pricing public

A pricing page must be reachable without contacting sales. "Contact us" is recorded as not public rather than failed.

    Verified reads: Pricing public

  9. 9. Customers verifiable

Each named customer needs a public source: a case study on the customer's own site, their logo on their own pages, or press. A logo on the startup's own site is not a source.

Verified reads: :verified of :named named customers verifiable

  10. 10. Funding verifiable

The stated round must appear in press, a registry filing, or on an investor's own portfolio page. Amounts are recorded as bands, never as exact figures.

    Verified reads: Funding verified: :round

What "verified" means

A fact, on a date.

Never a verdict on the company.

It means we checked this specific fact on this date, by the method printed above it, and it held up. The date and the method are on the profile so you can judge the check for yourself.

It does not mean the startup is good, safe, solvent, or worth buying from. We never check quality. Accuracy figures, return on investment and "best in class" are claims: they stay the startup's own words, shown with whatever evidence they gave us, and labelled as theirs.

And "unverified" is a statement about our check, never about anyone's honesty. It means we could not find a public source, not that there isn't one.

Who can list

Four things, and no fee.

There is no paid tier because the moment a startup pays us to appear, every profile on the register becomes an advertisement.

Who does the checking

Our own team, by the written method.

iBrothers Group's own operations team, following the written method above. It is a shared service the group pays for.

A startup may separately buy an independent audit from anyone it likes, including from one of our ventures. Where it has, the profile says so and links the report, and that audit is never counted as one of our checks. A venture's audit is not the parent's check, and we will not let the two be confused.

Review, upkeep and removal

After it goes live.

  1. 1. How long a review takes

Ten working days from a confirmed submission. There is no way to pay to go faster, and no queue anybody can be moved up.

  2. 2. Keeping a profile current

Founders can edit at any time. An edit to something we checked puts the change in review while the version already published stays up, so nobody loses their page while we look.

  3. 3. Profiles we added ourselves

We add profiles to the register and run the same checks on them. They say "Added by iBrothers · not yet claimed" until the startup takes them over, so you always know whether the company has seen its own page.

  4. 4. Going stale, and removal

We ask every startup once a year whether its profile is still current. Twelve months without an answer and the profile says so, on the card and at the top of the page.

A profile comes off at the startup's request, or where a claim could not be verified after notice, the product is gone, or the law requires it. A removed profile says which of those it was.

Why it is free, and who pays

Nobody pays for a place.

iBrothers Group pays for the register out of its own pocket, as a shared service. We take no listing fee, no commission and no money for placement, and we are not an investor in any startup here unless its profile says so. That is the whole business model, and it is the reason there is no "featured" row anywhere on the site.

What happens next

  1. 1 Confirm your email from the link we send.
  2. 2 Write your profile: the product, the founders, the AI, and what you claim.
  3. 3 We run the same ten checks on everyone.
  4. 4 Once approved, it goes live.

What this costs

Nothing, now or later, on either side: no listing fee, no commission, no paid placement, and no charge to contact a startup.
