What can be listed, what evidence we ask for, and what you agree to by listing. These guidelines are the terms of listing: a founder who has read them has read what they are agreeing to, and there is no second document hiding anything else.

Six short sections, and the terms at the end.
Link to any rule
Every section has its own address to send.
Same for everyone
No startup gets a different set of rules.
Who can list
Four conditions, for everyone.
-
A live product or a public beta. Not a waiting list, not a landing page.
-
AI is core to the product, not a feature added to something else.
-
A real legal entity, in a registry we can look up.
-
One profile per product. A company with two products may list both, separately.
The standard of evidence
Checkable without taking our word.
A claim is verified when a reader can check it without taking anyone's word for it. In practice that means:
-
1. Customers
A case study on the customer's own site, their logo on their own pages, or press. A logo on your site is not a source.
-
2. Funding
Press, a registry filing, or the investor's own portfolio page. Amounts are recorded as bands, never exact figures.
-
3. Certifications
A link to the issuer or to the letter. A badge image is not a certification.
-
4. Metrics
Published method and date. We will show the number as your claim either way, because we do not verify quality, but a stated method is the difference between a figure a reader can weigh and one they cannot.
Anything we cannot source is marked Unverified and stays on the profile. We do not delete a claim for being unverified, and being unverified is not an accusation.
Prohibited content
What we will not publish.
Whatever the evidence, and whoever asks.
-
Claims known to be false, or repeated after we have shown they are wrong.
-
Someone else's trademark, branding or copy presented as yours.
-
Naming customers, partners or investors who have not agreed to be named.
-
Products whose purpose is to deceive, surveil without consent, or generate intimate images of real people without their consent.
-
Anything unlawful where the company is registered or where the product is sold.
What gets a profile removed
Four reasons, always said.
-
1. At the startup's request
The startup asks us to remove it.
-
2. An unverified claim, not corrected
A claim could not be verified and was not corrected after we gave notice.
-
3. The product is gone
The product is defunct, or the company has wound up.
-
4. The law requires it
A valid legal request.
A removed profile returns a "gone" response and one line saying which of those it was. We do not leave a removal unexplained, and we do not pretend the page never existed.
Corrections
Anyone may report a profile.
Anyone may report a profile: founders, customers, competitors, readers. Tell us what is wrong and, where you can, link something showing it. We look at every report, and where you leave an address we tell you what came of it.
If a report is about your own profile, we will always give you notice and a chance to answer before we change or remove anything we checked.
What you agree to
The terms of listing.
Submitting a profile is agreement to these.
1. Accuracy is yours
By submitting a profile you warrant that what it says is true and that you have the right to say it, including the right to name anyone named in it.
2. Licence to display
You grant iBrothers Group a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your name, logo and the profile's content on this register and in links to it. You keep ownership of all of it. A profile we added ourselves uses no logo until the startup claims it and supplies one.
3. No endorsement
A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation, a rating or investment advice. A passed check means a named person verified one stated fact on one date, and nothing more.
4. Nothing is bought or sold
Listing is free. We take no fee, no commission and no payment for placement, and there is no order on the register that money can change.
5. Right to remove
We may decline or remove any profile under the rules above, and will say which rule it was.
6. Limitation of liability
The register is published in good faith and without warranty. Decisions you take on the strength of it are yours. Our general terms and the governing law are on the group's terms page and apply here in full.
7. Your data
What we collect from submitters and reporters, and how long we keep it, is in the privacy policy. Nothing collected here is shared with the group's ventures.
